Senior Procurement Partner for Flügger in Rødovre, DK

Requisition ID:  3265
City:  Rødovre
Job Category:  Product, Innovation & Procurement(PQHSE)

Are you enthusiastic about sustainability and want to lead strategic procurement initiatives within this agenda? Are you passionate about value engineering and supplier innovation? Are you keen on strategic sourcing and commercially intrigued by optimization? Do you thrive in a company with a strong change agenda and where values of empowerment and open communication are lived every day? Join us in taking Procurement to the next level, working strategically with optimization, risk mitigation and value creation.

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Partner for our Direct Procurement team, to take on strategic procurement responsibility for several large & strategic procurement categories within raw materials.

Take part in the journey

Flügger is a proud producer and retailer of paint with a strong legacy, quality products, skilled employees, and loyal customers. We have an ambitious strategy ‘Going Green’, founded on sustainable production, products, and packaging. Further, it is founded on ambitious growth and optimization targets, and a strong digitalization agenda.

A few specific examples on the Flügger Going Green strategy:
•    Flügger have ecolabels on +80% of our own produced paint products (+90% on Flügger branded products).
•    Increased use of recycled plastic in our buckets.
•    Focused efforts with Flügger’s suppliers, on sustainability topics such as mass balance certification, biobased and recycled raw materials, to reduce the Co2 footprint and ensure other environmental benefits.

Procurement is anchored as a group function with direct reference to the CEO, working with strategic and operational procurement of both Direct spend, Indirect spend and Goods for Resale.

As Senior Procurement Partner you will have responsibility for several of the large and strategic direct spend procurement categories. Focus could be on one of the key strategic categories such as binders, where focus is on sustainability, innovation, cost out, and resilience. Given the nature of the binder category, it will be a key enabler category for Flügger to achieve its ambitious sustainability targets – in other words, this is a very high exposure category within Flügger.

You will join the Direct Procurement team and report to Senior Procurement Manager, Søren Vandsø Jacobsen and work closely with other colleagues in Procurement and stakeholders across the organization including R&D, Planning, Product Management, and production sites.

Your key responsibilities will be:

•   Lead development of category sourcing strategies
•    Act as the Procurement lead for strategic workstreams on sustainable product solutions
•   Develop and implement supplier relations management with strategic focus for innovation, cost out & sustainability
•    Ensure resilient supply chains, with focus on security of supply and supplier quality for raw materials (from produced raw material to produced Flügger products).
•    Ensure competitive pricing and drive cost efficiency initiatives (Total Cost of Ownership approach)

Your profile
We expect you to have solid business acumen, contract management & negotiation skills to secure sustainable cost optimization. Additionally, we hope you have an interest in raw materials and a technical flair, to work with R&D and suppliers on material substitution, innovations, and sustainability opportunities.
Collaboration and communication skills are essential.

Additionally, we expect you to have:

•    Minimum of 5-10 years of experience with strategic procurement of direct spend, preferably from production companies.
•    Experience implementing a supply relationship approach and category strategies.
•    Strong project management skills and analytical skills.
•    A Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or the like.
•    Experience in leading larger cross functional projects is an advantage.

We offer

Besides a competitive compensation and benefit package we believe we have a lot to offer you in this role.
At Flügger Procurement you will find a great team of skilled and experienced colleagues, a professional and encouraging work environment, and a culture for knowledge sharing.
Given the business-critical nature of this role you will have a 1 to 1 positive impact on Flügger’s performance, and your contribution will be very tangible compared to Procurement roles in other organizations of similar size.
The nature of this role will also give you great exposure to Executive Management and provide great opportunities to further develop your career and skillsets.

So come join an ambitious, growing, listed company with Scandinavian roots and an international outlook.
